Welcome to the Cambridge History Forum, which exists to bring academic history debates to school and sixth form students, teachers, and the wider public.
The latest Forum met in person at Selwyn College, Cambridge, on Saturday 9th March 2024 to discuss and debate the ways in which people have worked collectively to challenge those who rule or control them. ‘Challenging Power’ gathered three eminent historians to discuss this topic, with three talks each on their own specialisms, followed by a panel discussion with questions asked on the broader topic by the audience.
We aim to make the Forum as accessible as possible. There is a £12 charge for attending in person, to be paid on the door at Selwyn College. Please bring cash with you as there’s no card payment available. You don’t need to book this in advance- just turn up on the day.
